Lakeridge Heights Retirement Residence is seeking a Recreational Director (Recreation/Activities) to join our team.

(Maternity Leave Coverage)

The Recreational Director provides a comprehensive activity program for the benefit of each resident on a continuing basis. In this role, you will be required to plan, direct, and coordinate the necessary activities for the activation of the Health & Wellness program within the residence.

Requirements
  • Must have diploma/certification in recreational therapy
  • Course(s) in Gerontology and Activities/Recreation are desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
  • Must have experience working in a retirement residence with both Independent and Assisted Living/Memory Care residents
  • Knowledge of program development is an asset
  • First Aid Certification is an asset
  • Class 4 Driver’s License is an asset
  • Received at least two (2) doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine
