AgeCare is seeking a Recreation Worker to plan, develop, and run meaningful recreation and leisure activities that promote wellbeing, purpose, creativity, and community for residents. You will assist in creating engaging spaces, communicate with residents, families and volunteers, and observe changes in residents' abilities to update care plans as needed.

Assists in development, planning and implementing daily recreation and leisure activities, both in the home and in the community, using a collection of holistic resident information and choices, and in a manner that reflects AgeCare's philosophy and approach to resident programming. Assists in creating and maintaining engaging spaces/environments in the home that support meaningful resident activity and participation. Develops and maintains good communications with residents and their families, friends, as well as volunteers, community groups and agencies. Observes, reports and documents as required, any changes in the resident's ability to participate in activities, updating plan of care as appropriate. Supports all departments in their efforts to foster resident engagement in meaningful ways. Models the way, leading programs in a manner that supports and maximizes residents' skills and abilities. Participates in the on-going evaluation of the recreation program and related quality improvement processes.
