Job summary

Trinity Care Centre in Penticton seeks a Recreation Therapy Worker / Bus Driver to implement the established Recreation Therapy Program and engage residents through arts, sports and music activities.

You will lead and facilitate individual and group activities, assist residents in participation, and work closely with nursing staff and therapists to ensure a positive, safe experience. Occasional outings are included as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience.
• Valid Class 4 vehicle license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate leisure/recreation therapy programs (arts, sports, music, etc.).
• Set up and organize program spaces and assist residents’ participation.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and therapists to ensure a seamless experience.
• Accompany residents on outings, ensuring safety and enjoyment.
• Confirm program details with relevant team members.
