The Village of Wentworth Heights in Hamilton, Ontario, has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Recreation Team Member.

As a new Recreation Team Member, you will:

  • Support our resident-centered social culture and deliver high-quality recreational programming
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to understand and advocate for residents' individual needs
  • Foster relationships with residents, families, and team members to deliver holistic care focusing on quality of life
  • Assist residents by planning and implementing programs aligned with their holistic health goals, including activities assessment and care plans

To be successful, you will:

  • Be enrolled in or have completed a diploma or degree in recreation/leisure studies or gerontology
  • Align with our village philosophy and family values
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude

Assets include:

  • Knowledge of the five domains in therapeutic recreation
  • Knowledge of recreational therapy practices to enhance well-being
