This position assists with coordinating recreation programs, overseeing volunteers and other part-time staff, and fostering a harmonious and productive team environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership and customer service excellence, strong communication and outreach motivation, readiness and motivation, sound judgment, and experience overseeing specialized programs. The successful candidate will embody the Department's mission and vision and the City’s Customer Service Philosophy – Empathy, Respect, and Problem Solving.
The position is a paid, part-time/temporary role scheduled to work no more than 29 hours per week and not eligible for health insurance or retirement plans. Assignments may occur at one of the Department’s six community centers, Senior Center, or outdoor City parks, based on program area needs.
