Qualifications

  • Must have class 'G' driver's License.
  • Must have CPR/First Aid Certification or willing to obtain.
  • Dementia training an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Special Events and Functions with the Sales Team.
  • Conduct Activity Assessments.
  • Develop and implement a monthly activity calendar.
  • Carry out daily activities to promote residents' well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of care delivered.

Recreation Manager

Availability for periodic events on evenings and weekends

Weekends on a rotational basis as the Manager on Duty

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Recreation/ and or Activation Coordinator Gerontology Diploma/Degree (preferred)
  • Must have class "G" driver\'s License
  • Must have CPR/First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
  • Dementia training an asset
  • Able to conduct seated fitness classes
  • Smart Serve
  • Creative, sociable and outgoing with a positive attitude
  • Experience in retirement living preferred
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Patience, tolerance and politeness when responding to residents and visitors to the residence
  • Ability to speak read and write English.

  • Implement age appropriate activities for residents in a manner appropriate for residents’ abilities and which take dignity issues & physical limitations into consideration.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records of care delivered
  • Present a positive image of the residence to the public.
  • Provide administrative support as required.
