Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Business Development, this position provides planning and strategic leadership across three core portfolios: inclusion services, marketing and outreach, and community engagement, in support of recreation programs and services delivered to City of Markham residents. This position establishes the framework, operational standards and policies for the delivery of inclusion and adaptive programming, provides research and data driven direction to marketing and outreach initiatives across Recreation Services, and leads the community engagement portfolio, including Recreation Service's annual calendar of community events and the recruitment, coordination and recognition of volunteers who support Recreation programs and events. This position researches and understands community needs and demographics through trend analysis, and explores creative approaches to service delivery excellence. This position leads a team of three full time staff and oversees a broader team of approximately sixty part time staff across the inclusion and outreach portfolios.
