Responsibilities and Requirements
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results, including Child Care Checks.
  • The incumbent must be at least 16 years old to be employed in a Non-Appropriated Funds position.
  • Requires a nationally recognized certification in lifesaving, water rescue, basic first aid, and CPR (child and adult). Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire, paid for by Outdoor Recreation.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and family down days.
  • This position specifically requires CPR certification for both children and adults.
Qualifications

Open to everyone, with eligibility based on the questionnaire and proof of eligibility due by 08/01/2025. Experience in swimming activities, rules, procedures, and maintenance of pool and safety equipment is highly desirable. Must maintain current American Red Cross or other recognized certifications. Must be at least 16 years old and able to pass a basic swim test.
