Base Pay Range

$19.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Duties
  1. Observe swimming areas vigilantly to ensure water safety rules and pool regulations are observed by all patrons.
  2. Coordinate the opening and closing of swimming areas for authorized patrons.
  3. Ensure only authorized patrons use the facilities.
  4. Perform rescue procedures and administer first aid and emergency medical procedures as needed.
  5. Notify swimmers and leadership of unsafe conditions and provide recommendations.
  6. Inspect equipment daily for malfunctions and ensure repairs are made.
  7. Maintain cleanliness of pools, locker rooms, and related facilities.
  8. Complete and record preventative maintenance and cleaning tasks as per regulations.
  9. Assist swim instructors if required.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

  • Complete a background investigation, including Child Care Checks.
  • Be at least 16 years old.
  • Obtain nationally recognized certifications in lifesaving, water rescue, first aid, and CPR within 30 days of hire.
  • May require working evenings, weekends, holidays.
Qualifications

Experience must include practical knowledge of swimming activities, rules, and safety equipment; current certifications are required.

Must pass a basic swim test administered by qualified staff.
