About Coulson Aviation
Coulson Aviation operates a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With a fleet consisting of Boeing 737 FIRELINERS, Hercules C130, Citation 550/560, King Air, Sikorsky S61 and S76, CH-47D Chinooks, we provide rapid response capabilities using our aviation assets across the globe. We currently produce, maintain and operate the fleet throughout Canada, the USA, Chile and Australia.
Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add to our team and hire a
Records Management Technician.
This full-time position will be in
Port Alberni, British Columbia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review journey logbook pages for all aircraft and ensure all logbook parameters are filled out by the flight crew.
- Update aircraft records.
- Update and maintain computer-based maintenance tracking system records for all company-controlled aircraft and components as required.
- Make corrections (non-technical) to addition errors on logbook page copies.
- Audit aircraft records for accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Advise personnel on proper documentation as per company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Follow up with maintenance crew on all corrections and/or missing documentation.
- Operate information retrieval systems to research and extract records according to established guidelines in response to requests.
- Label, prepare and transfer information files according to established records management life-cycle procedures and schedules.
- Maintain archiving system.
- Monitor any updates from regulatory authorities and original equipment manufacturers for instructions affecting the airworthiness of the aircraft.
- Accurate update and entry of Service Bulletin, Airworthiness Directives, and Life-Limited Part technical data into maintenance tracking software. As required, build and maintain a sub-system for capturing data not currently supported by the tracking software.
- Control the Repair Station/AMO heavy maintenance records and ensure they are compliant with company technical records standards.
- Proactively drive improvements in technical records capture and management
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum two (2) years of work experience in a Tech Records role.
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid Canadian passport/Canada work permit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and working knowledge of an aircraft maintenance control computer system are required.
