Position Summary

The Technical Records Coordinator - MRO will carry out aircraft technical record examination and assemble data packages related to the AMO/MRO. Additionally, the Technical Records Coordinator will work with Flight Operations / TCCA to provide the technical records needed to authorize flight permits for Flight Tests and Ferry Flights.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review inbound aircraft documentation (i.e.: Aircraft Log-sheets, check packages, scheduled and unscheduled task cards, etc.) completed by Pilots and ACA Holders for completeness and accuracy.
  2. Control the MRO/AMO heavy maintenance records to ensure compliance with industry technical records standards. Maintain separation of third-party filings while managing records within our care & custody with attention to detail. Capture and trend Technical Records errors encountered.
  3. Verify the accuracy of aircraft Journey Logs and ensure they are complete prior to aircraft departure. Educate the Maintenance Team on proper terminology for Maintenance release.
  4. Update and enter Service Bulletin, Airworthiness Directives, and Life-Limited Part technical data into maintenance tracking software. Build and maintain a subsystem for data not supported by current tracking software. Prepare Aircraft Delivery Folders for transition to the A/C Operator.
  5. Plan for Target Delivery Dates by processing & verifying Technical Records for completeness. Coordinate activities to support on-time aircraft delivery. Escalate records-related delays to mitigate impact on delivery.
  6. Monitor industry standards for technical record keeping and management. Ensure compliance and that records are returned to the A/C Owner in proper condition.
  7. Drive continual improvement in the capture and management of technical records.
  8. Support Flight & Maintenance Operations and Asset Management teams with relevant information and services.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with adaptability to changing priorities
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Experience auditing technical records for airworthiness compliance according to Canadian Aviation Regulations
  • Knowledge of TCCA regulations and industry standards
  • Familiarity with technical manuals including MPM
  • Self-starter with proven initiative
  • ERP experience (asset)
  • Experience with Visual systems (asset)
  • Experience in Aviation, Aerospace, or Manufacturing environments (asset)
