Job summary

Steele Auto Group is seeking a Reconditioning & Detailing Technician to professionally detail and recondition vehicles to dealership standards. The role includes restoring interiors, polishing surfaces, and performing protective applications to ensure showroom readiness and customer satisfaction.

Applicants should have automotive detailing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to handle both automatic and manual transmissions.

Qualifications

  • Automotive detailing or vehicle reconditioning experience preferred.
  • Experience with buffing, polishing, paint correction, or ceramic/protective coatings is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and customer focus.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally detail and recondition vehicles to dealership standards.
  • Restore interiors and exteriors through cleaning, polishing, and protection.
  • Complete Pre-Delivery Inspection cleans and prepare vehicles for delivery.
  • Maintain showroom vehicles in pristine condition.
  • Perform buffing, polishing, paint correction, and protective applications as needed.
  • Identify cosmetic imperfections and communicate recommendations to management.
  • Safely move, organize, and park vehicles within dealership operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe detailing workspace.
  • Collaborate with Collision Centre, Service Department, and dealership teams to ensure timely delivery and exceed customer expectations.

Job description

Reconditioning & Detailing Technician
Hourly Wage Range

$18.15 - $20.00 per hour

This position is not eligible for Immigration Assistance due to National Occupational Classification (NOC) requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Professionally detail and recondition new, used, and collision‑repaired vehicles to dealership standards.
  • Restore vehicle interiors and exteriors through cleaning, polishing, stain removal, odor elimination, waxing, and paint enhancement.
  • Complete Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) cleans and prepare vehicles for customer delivery.
  • Maintain showroom vehicles in pristine, display‑ready condition.
  • Perform buffing, polishing, paint correction, and application of protective products when required.
  • Identify cosmetic imperfections and communicate recommendations to management.
  • Safely move, organize, and park vehicles throughout dealership and collision centre operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe detailing workspace while caring for equipment and supplies.
  • Work closely with the Collision Centre, Service Department, and dealership teams to ensure vehicles are delivered on time and exceed customer expectations.
What You Bring / Qualifications
  • Automotive detailing or vehicle reconditioning experience (preferred).
  • Experience with buffing, polishing, paint correction, or ceramic/protective coatings is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • The ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
