The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF) is a charitable organization that owns and operates five Aging Care & Senior Living communities in Calgary, AB, and Okotoks, AB. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, caring, and comfortable home environment that caters to the complex needs of our senior residents and families. In Calgary, BSF also operates Alberta’s largest second-stage shelter, offering safe shelter and comprehensive support services to women and children leaving abuse and violence.

The Role

The Receptionist provides clerical and reception support for daily operations, representing BSF and promoting a culture of resident safety and well-being. The role upholds the Foundation’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and adheres to ethical practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a multi-line switchboard, answer inquiries, and route calls
  • Greet visitors, manage inquiries, and arrange tours
  • Maintain reception files and records
  • Manage mail, courier, and transportation arrangements
  • Oversee bookings for meetings and conference rooms
  • Update resident lists and directories
  • Prepare documents, reports, and meeting minutes
  • Complete required training modules
  • Assist with activities calendar and data entry
  • Support sale of meal vouchers and manage access fobs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
