Job description

Our conveniently located clinics are open for extended hours to meet the needs of our patients and communities. With a team of skilled professionals working alongside over 70 family physicians, specialists, and allied health providers, our goal is to get our patients healthy, quickly and safely.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Receptionist/Medical Assistant who is passionate about delivering the best possible care to our patients.

Summary: The Receptionist/Medical Assistant will assist physicians and allied health partners to ensure efficient patient flow and care processes. This is a permanent full-time (4-5 days a week) position, including weekends.

Locations: Unit 3 - 250 Wincott Drive, Etobicoke, ON M9R 2R5

Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative support to the clinic, including registering patients, answering phones, booking appointments, following up on consults and test results, and other administrative duties.Assisting doctors and allied health providers with administrative tasks.
  • Helping patients with registration forms and other paperwork.
  • Managing referrals to specialists, diagnostic bookings, and other test centers.
  • Reviewing and updating patient demographics and obtaining necessary information.
  • Processing payments from patients for non-OHIP services.
  • Assisting with third-party forms and letters.

Requirements:

  • Medical Office Administration certificate/diploma is an asset.
  • 1-3 years of medical office experience is an asset.
  • Experience in administrative or customer service roles, including non-medical fields, is an asset.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and strong computer skills are assets.
  • Understanding of medical terminology is an asset.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work at both Aurora locations.
