Job description

McFarlan Rowlands Insurance Brokers offers a complete line of commercial, personal lines, life, disability, employee benefit plans and risk management services through our network of twenty offices across Southwestern Ontario. A dual role that supports the front line needs of an active Branch by managing the task’s associated with a reception role including in person interactions and telephone support. In conjunction with that, this role provides support in the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies. This role will assist in creating content, managing social media platforms and assisting with the organization of all company branding materials and swag.

Key Responsibilities

Communication Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various platforms (social media, email, digital ads, etc.).
  • Ensure the consistency of branding and messaging
  • Coordinate content creation for marketing materials and internal purpose, including newsletters, blogs, and promotional collateral.
  • Assist in the organization and coordination of special events and company initiatives including swag.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to implement strategies that align with company goals.
  • Assist in managing and updating the company’s website and social media profiles.
  • All other responsibilities as directed

Reception Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and clients with a positive and welcoming attitude, ensuring a professional experience.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking accurate messages when necessary.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications

  • Combination of a College Diploma, relevant qualifications and experience, including pursing an education in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles and tools (social media platforms, email marketing, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Friendly and approachable with strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset.

Salary Range:

$39,000-$42,000
