A community service organization in Edmonton is seeking a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors. You will maintain a welcoming office environment, assist with administrative tasks, and support community programs. Ideal candidates have professional administrative experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and an understanding of Indigenous culture. Reporting to the Director, the Receptionist, “Atumskageewin” (Greeter with Love+ Kindness), acts as the first point of contact at the Ubuntu Program, greets visitors, and answers basic inquiries about the Centre, services, and/or refers questions to the appropriate staff. The “Atumskageewin” provides timely and accurate contact to visitors to the Ubuntu Children & Families Program and models the values of the agency through a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner. The “Atumskageewin” works closely with the Ubuntu Senior Administrator and the Administrative Team to ensure that staff and community members work in a safe and organizationally effective environment. The “Atumskageewin” handles many of the front-facing administrative tasks, while supporting the Ubuntu Senior Administrator with back-end tasks related to administration and operations.
