Receptionist and Attendance Co-ordinator

Full-Time 18 Month Contract (Commencing end of August 2025 until March 2027)

Annual Salary Range : $50,000 - $56,000

The Receptionist and Attendance Co-ordinator is the first point of contact for students, staff, families, visitors, and service providers arriving at BSS. They will greet and direct all arrivals warmly and professionally, ensuring needs are met efficiently. The role involves managing daily student attendance, tracking, and reporting to the Vice Principal, Student Experience. This position collaborates with faculty, students, parents, and staff, aligning with the school’s vision, philosophy, and strategic plan.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional, friendly assistance and directions to the BSS community
  • Answering main phone lines, monitoring the Sign In app, and verifying guest identification
  • Maintaining an inviting and presentable reception area
  • Ensuring safety as a gatekeeper upon entrance
  • Executing crisis management protocols during evacuations and drills
  • Overseeing the attendance process promptly
  • Tracking student arrivals and departures, liaising with division offices
  • Monitoring and updating student attendance records, including absences, late arrivals, and early dismissals
  • Ensuring faculty complete class attendance timely and resolving discrepancies
  • Producing attendance reports and communicating with parents and the Vice Principal
  • Performing administrative functions like correspondence, scheduling, and maintaining electronic files

Qualifications:

  • Receptionist experience, preferably in education
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Vigilance regarding security issues
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with databases
  • Ability to handle confidential information and prioritize tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with flexibility
