Job description

Our client, a major oil and gas company, is currently looking for a Receptionist / Administrator for their Whitecourt office. This is a Maternity Leave position with a Monday to Friday schedule.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Courteously receive and screen in-bound calls, emails, and visitors
  • Provide administrative support to office departments
  • Review, evaluate and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions
  • Maintain a professional image and demeanor with all employees, management, executives, and visitors at all times
  • Manage phone system and copies
  • Coordinate couriers
  • Handle accounts payable, including coding invoices
  • Perform other duties relevant to the position as required

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in an office setting for 2+ years; oil and gas experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, with a friendly disposition
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration is an asset
