The Salvation Army in Grande Prairie is seeking a detailed and people-focused Receptionist to welcome clients and the public, handle inquiries, and provide administrative support. This full-time role includes scheduling, documentation, and assisting with special programs and hampers distributions as part of community services.
The successful candidate will maintain confidential records, coordinate mail and supplies, and support the Intake Worker with client intakes and assessments.

The Receptionist provides a welcoming and professional environment for clients and the public who are seeking assistance and information relating to the Grande Prairie Community & Family Services. This position supports the effective and efficient delivery of programs and ministry through reception, scheduling, administrative support, special events and office equipment and procedures.
Qualifications: Education, Qualifications and Certifications: Completion of a High School diploma Completion of formal post-secondary /college certificate program and/or specialized courses or certification Experience and Skilled Knowledge Minimum of two (2) years of prior related experience including administrative/secretarial experience. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products Experience dealing with office equipment and tools. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Must comply with all Salvation Army policies, procedures and associated legislation. Participate in mandatory orientation training Treat the property of The Salvation Army with due care and caution. Work in compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Army’s health and safety policies and procedures. Valid Alberta Class “5” Driver’s License, personal vehicle and insurance is required; an original copy of a current Driver’s Abstract that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion is required. Provide an original copy of a Background Check screening that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required. The screening is secured either through the national Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) or through a local police detachment. May require screening through The Salvation Army Abuse Registry Develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.

The target hiring range for this position is $18.50 to $23.13 with a maximum of $27.76. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
