Job summary

Walmart Canada in Alma, QC is seeking a Department Manager to coordinate receiving and the flow of merchandise from unloading to the sales floor, leading a team and planning duties based on workload and operational factors.

You will train and coach associates, maintain cold chain for refrigerated items, and ensure safety and cleanliness while meeting daily receiving targets. The role requires effective delegation and follow-up with CAP 2 associates to uphold performance and standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to train and coach associates.
• Experience in leading a small team is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including safety logs and ensuring displays/fixtures are secure.
• Preparing and resetting Receiving Area.
• Unloading and sorting merchandise trailers and completing live unloading.
• Delegating, following-up and pulling pallets to the salesfloor for overnight processing.
• Delegating, following-up and assisting in stocking and binning overstock merchandise.
• Providing training, coaching and feedback to associates.
• Acting as team lead by directing CAP 2 Associates.
• Maintaining cold chain for refrigerated and frozen receiving.
