Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Receiving Inspector, Tues-Sat in the Micro-Electronics Industry in Ottawa, Ontario.

The Receiving Inspector performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. They are responsible for performing packaging line and manufacturing inspections, as well as sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. This position starts with Monday - Friday training and transitions to Tuesday - Saturday once completed. Training takes approximately 3 - 8 weeks depending on each individual.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducts repetitive inspection of product/materials against known standards, procedures, and checklists.
2. Identifies and segregates non-conforming material.
3. Reads assembly and process documentation.
4. Contributes to identifying, articulating, and escalating problems or issues for Technical Support or Engineering, and assists in gathering requested information and proof necessary to help establish the root cause of problems and determine corrective action.
5. Recognizes discrepancies in documentation or problems with quality, product, or process, and recommends changes.
6. Conducts product inspection, documenting as required, according to specific procedures.
7. Properly executes inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions.
8. Identifies, reads/interprets, and applies complex ECO modifications or other instructions.
9. Records data on a daily basis.
