Job summary

Cargojet Airways Ltd. is seeking a Receiving Inspector to verify incoming aircraft parts, components, and materials for conformity with manuals, approved data, and quality standards.

You will apply regulatory requirements and internal procedures to ensure airworthiness and traceability. The role requires meticulous data entry, reporting of inspection results, and collaboration with QA, Maintenance, and suppliers to resolve documentation discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Ability to inspect parts and verify documentation.
• Verify identification, condition, eligibility and traceability of parts.
• Apply company procedures and regulatory requirements for acceptance of aeronautical products.
• Identify and segregate damaged or suspect material and document disposition.
• Maintain complete, auditable receiving inspection records.
• Complete/pass exam to obtain the Receiving qualification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming aircraft parts, components, consumables and materials for condition, identification, quantity, and conformance to documentation.
• Verify airworthiness release and supporting traceability records per regulatory and AMO requirements.
• Apply CAN aviation regulations and internal quality standards for acceptance of aeronautical products.
• Identify, document and quarantine or escalate non-conforming material.
• Ensure inspection results and certifications are documented in the system.
• Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Technical Records and vendors to resolve documentation discrepancies.

Job Summary

The Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming aircraft parts, components, and materials to ensure compliance with applicable company manuals, approved technical data, and company quality standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming aircraft parts, components, consumables, and materials for physical condition, identification, quantity, and conformity to purchase and receiving documentation.
• Verify applicable airworthiness release documentation, authorized certifications, and supporting traceability records in accordance with regulatory and AMO requirements.
• Apply applicable Canadian Aviation Regulations, approved AMO procedures, and internal quality standards relevant to the acceptance of aeronautical products.
• Identify, document, and segregate damaged, suspect, incorrectly identified, or improperly certified material pending resolution.
• Ensure inspection results, certifications, and receiving records are accurately recorded in the applicable system.
• Work with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Technical Records, and vendors to resolve documentation discrepancies and material acceptance issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Successful applicant must demonstrate competency in:
• Assessing applicable aircraft parts certification and airworthiness release documentation.
• Verifying part identification, condition, eligibility, and traceability.
• Understanding the acceptance criteria established by the company's approved procedures.
• Recognizing discrepancies that require quarantine, escalation, or Quality Assurance review.
• Maintaining complete and auditable receiving inspection records.
• Complete/pass exam to obtain the Receiving qualification.
• Work experience related to parts, warehouse or material handling.
• Must be very well organized, scheduled and have experience working with minimal supervision
• Work requires a mathematical aptitude.
• Work involves data entry to Inventory database and intermediate proficiency with MS Outlook, and basic proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
• Detail oriented and excellent communication skills.
• Able to safely lift 60 lbs. and be able to maneuver/ balance a 350 lb. Main wheel
• Must have a valid Drivers License and possess or qualify for valid Drivers Airside Pass.
