Healthy Planet in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Receiving Champion to ensure stock is received, verified, and organized accurately from dock to shelf. You will log items with handheld scanners, manage inventory flow, and support safety and warehouse operations in a fast-paced wellness retailer.

This role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to help keep shelves full and customers satisfied.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in retail, warehouse, or inventory management preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and stock management practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active during an 8-hour shift.
• Proactive, dependable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive and open shipments; verify packing slips and order contents for accuracy.
• Ensure correct quantities, expiry dates, and product quality during intake.
• Log, tag, and organize stock using handheld scanners or inventory systems.
• Stage, shelve, and distribute inventory to appropriate departments.
• Unload and load delivery vehicles when necessary.
• Identify and report damaged, expired, or missing items.
• Pick and prepare orders based on product number, size, quantity, and quality requirements.
• Replenish floor stock based on real-time product flow.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and as trained.
• Maintain order fulfillment efficiency and track inventory movement.
• Support markdowns, floor change-outs, and transfers as needed.

As a Receiving Champion at Healthy Planet, you play a critical role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly from dock to shelf. You will be responsible for receiving, verifying, organizing, and distributing product with precision and care. Your keen attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment will directly impact the efficiency of our store operations and customer satisfaction.

The typical hiring range for this position is $18 to $19. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, skill set, internal equity, and organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Stock Management

• Receive and open shipments; verify packing slips and order contents for accuracy
• Ensure correct quantities, expiry dates, and product quality during intake
• Accurately log, tag, and organize stock using handheld scanners or inventory systems
• Stage, shelve, and distribute inventory to appropriate departments
• Unload and load delivery vehicles when necessary
• Identify and report damaged, expired, or missing items
• Pick and prepare orders based on product number, size, quantity, and quality requirements
• Replenish floor stock and storage shelves based on real-time product flow
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, ladders) safely and as trained
• Maintain order fulfillment efficiency and track inventory movement
• Support markdowns, floor change-outs, and transfers as needed

Warehouse Organization & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free stockroom and receiving area
• Follow all safety regulations, lifting protocols, and handling procedures
• Execute daily, opening, and closing warehouse checklists
• Assist with general warehouse duties (e.g., garbage removal, station cleaning)
• Contribute to shrink reduction by maintaining accurate product tracking

Training & Compliance

• Completion of required Lessonly training modules
• Ongoing participation in workshops and brand education sessions to stay current on wellness trends and company initiatives
• Demonstrated commitment to attendance, punctuality, team collaboration, and reliability

Other Duties

• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
