Receiver/Amusement Host - The Rec Room West Edmonton Mall

Work location: W. Edm. The Rec Room

What you will do:

The Receiver is responsible for the efficient and accurate receiving, checking, and processing of all incoming shipments. This includes verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and updating management.

The Amusement Host will be responsible for providing consistently high levels of customer service to all amusement guests by providing prompt service, and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all games, attractions, redemption items, entertainment options, and daily specials. The Amusement Hosts perform these customer service duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times, ensuring that the guest has an enjoyable experience.

Job Duties:

• Unload shipments from trucks and other delivery vehicles.
• Verify the quantity and condition of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect items for damage and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (preferred, but training available).
• Upselling games by showing guests game operations, encouraging guests to play, and creating an overall fun, playful environment for them.
• Ensuring both games and individual stations are clean, well-maintained, and fully operational and assisting with restocking the Store.
• Being a trusted resource for guests’ inquiries and concerns and have a working knowledge of the venue’s pricing for special events, promotions, and daily events.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
