Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking a Realtime Visualization Production Coordinator for our Vancouver Location!
Summary :
The Realtime Visualization Production Coordinator reports directly to the Production Department Manager. The role supports the Realtime Visualization Production Manager, the Head of Visualization and shows DPM(s)/Producer(s) in the use of realtime technology across all active productions by providing support to artists and working with the Realtime Visualization Team in ensuring standard processes and workflows spanning multiple disciplines. This role is highly diverse and at the groundbreaking of new technology. The ideal candidate will have strong department coordination skills, and should be passionate about exploring new and upcoming technology. Possessing a fundamental understanding of Unreal Engine (UE) and software development workflows is a great advantage.
What you'll be doing:
Coordinate and track progress of realtime tools development and milestones amongst the Visualization support team
Assist in prioritizing cross-studio tasks and goals, providing status updates to shows as needed
Field requests from multiple sources internally and from external clients
Organize and maintain documentation on custom-made realtime tools and workflows in Confluence
Coordinate, prep, and schedule visualization production meetings
Take notes in meetings, and clearly disseminate those notes to all appropriate team members
Assist in tracking tickets and engine requests on Epic Pro Support.
Coordinate realtime workflows between respective Heads of Departments (HODs) and Producers
Assist in building trust and support with Production and Artist teams across all active shows using realtime workflows
Coordinate with Systems, Learning & Development and Show Production for Windows PC set-up and training requirements
Work with Show Production to track realtime workflows in Shotgrid using established methodologies
Track internal bug tickets and feature requests and assist in triaging with the Head of Visualization and Realtime Pipeline Supervisor
Help organize inter-department and multi-department social events with the Visualization support team
Help to manage all hours worked within the team to monitor wellbeing and energy levels
Cross team coverage. e.g. Jump in and direct questions to team members when other members of the team are absent
What we need to see:
Minimum 2 years of VFX, Feature Anim or Games Production Coordinating experience
Production Coordination experience in Development, Pipeline, Layout, Asset and/or Lighting departments
Highly organized, resourceful, diligent and proactive with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a multi-disciplinary team
Comfortable learning and implementing new workflows and software methodologies
Positive, forward-thinking attitude, offering up solutions as needed
Strong advocate for team health, resources and growth
Able to work independently and set appropriate priorities, especially in the absence of clear direction and undefined workflows
Desire to explore and learn realtime workflows
Fundamental knowledge of Sony Imageworks pipeline and workflows, and or similar industry pipelines.
Experience in ShotGrid production tracking
Experience in Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22.36-$25.96/hr CAD. Benefits are per company policy: which include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
