Overview

Our client acts for local governments, school boards, health authorities, universities/colleges, libraries, police boards, and similar entities in British Columbia, Alberta, and Yukon. The firm is known for providing legal services in every area of law for our clients. Our law practice is growing, and we are looking for an experienced lawyer to join our real estate and development law team.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of recent experience practicing real estate and development law, which must include experience negotiating and drafting real property agreements, providing legal opinions, and working with conveyancers
• Called to the bar in BC
• An interest in pursuing a career in real property, land use, and development land law for public bodies
• Strong communication skills
• Effective client management and time-management skills
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• A willingness to be involved in business and client development, including by attending conferences and preparing presentations

Salary/Rate Range: $135,000 (5-6 year call) – $200,000 (15-16 year call)
