The Real Estate Manager manages all capital projects and aspects of lease negotiation and administration and location siting, design, development and construction.
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this role will be hybrid with opportunity for remote with one direct reporting employee, and be based in Vancouver, BC. Travel will be required to our clinic network across Canada.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage lease renewals and conduct negotiations for existing locations, new locations and acquisitions
Lead Renovation/Relocation Roadmap and project management
Oversee Facilities function and processes and facilities team
Lease administration, including data entry, budgeting and renewal management
Work cross-functionally with Finance and Managing Director to effectively manage costs associated with rental rates and location size
Manage accounts with 3rd party leasing agents for siting, offer negotiations to offer acceptance
Coordinate with lawyer and landlord to arrive at acceptable lease agreement and maintain all costs and fees within budget
Prepare lease and CAPEX summaries for Finance and Managing Director
Manage CAPEX costs within budget and look for efficiencies to minimize costs
Design clinics and prepare space plans
Project manage the design of a clinic from permit applications through to move-in, coordinating with contractors and staff to ensure smooth move-in and limit impact to daily operations
Work cross-functionally with Professional Practice on construction, design and installation of all audiological equipment, including sound booths and HCPs office equipment
Manage store closures
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years relevant Commercial Real Estate Management experience
Project management knowledge and experience required
Commercial Real Estate and Tenant Leasing experience required
Retail healthcare industry experience preferred
Experience and training with AutoCAD preferred
Indirect people management skills preferred

What We Offer:
Annual salary ranges from $87,000-98,000 (based on individual experience level and qualifications relevant to the role)
