About you

To succeed in this role, you'll need :

  • 3+ years of experience as a Commercial / Residential Real Estate Law Clerk
  • Knowledge of Registry, Land Titles and Polaris systems for title searching and registration in both paper-based and electronic land registration systems
  • Experience with electronic database filings and processing high volumes of documentation
  • College Law Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certificate
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong work ethic, problem-solving, and commitment to excellence
  • Bilingual (French) reading and writing abilities are an asset

About the role

If hired, you will :

  • Assist lawyers with commercial real estate transactions and due diligence tasks
  • Conduct, review, and report on title and off-title searches for transactions
  • Interact with the land registry office to resolve unique title issues in real-time
  • Manage and organize portfolio transactions while liaising with key stakeholders
  • Draft key documents, including requisitions, closing documents, and final reports
  • Participate in closing, purchase sale, and financing transactions
  • Be responsible for matter management and data management, including scoping and budgeting
  • Up to 3 weeks of paid vacation
