Job description

Position Overview

We have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Real Estate Coordinator in the Real Estate Department. Reporting to the Manager, Real Estate Properties, the Real Estate Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative function of the Real Estate office, supporting the management team and being the first point of contact for tenants and prospective tenants.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with the planning, scheduling, and coordinating general maintenance and major repairs both inside and outside of all buildings in the Real Estate portfolio and liaising directly with property management, project managers, and/or tenants.
  • Assisting the department and liaising with the Maintenance Department in the administrative duties of all service contracts including but not limited to: parking contracts, garbage collection, snow clearing, landscaping, mechanical repair and maintenance, common area cleaning, and elevator service contracts.
  • Managing software data entry including updating assets in the maintenance module, updating tenant contact details, sending emails, and setting up events in the tenant portal.
  • Organizing team events, ordering catering for meetings, reviewing and ordering kitchen supplies, ensuring boardroom supplies are available, as well as maintaining the team vacation planner.
  • Assisting the PM Team with ongoing tenant communication to maintain a positive landlord/tenant relationship, including updating/notifying all tenants regarding ongoing maintenance and capital projects via the Tenant Portal.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly Property Management Reports and reporting as required.
  • Assisting the YVR Real Estate team with all administrative tasks as needed.

Key Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in property management with a strong (customer-service oriented) work ethic.
  • General knowledge of principles and practices of property management and of applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
  • Ability to review and provide input in the preparation of service agreements.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and a working knowledge of YARDI Voyager is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn about the airport environment, unique regulations, and operational requirements.

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range: $58,278 to $76,162 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
