Job description

Infrastructure Ontario (IO), an Ontario crown corporation, provides a wide range of services to support the Ontario government’s initiative to modernize and maximize the value of public infrastructure and realty. IO has been recognized domestically and internationally for the way it does business and the success it has had with its major projects, real estate services, infrastructure lending, commercial projects, and development mandate. IO delivers some of the most complex, ambitious commercial and land development solutions for the Province and continues to evolve and expand its capabilities to maximize its public impact and deliver on its vision of creating a connected, modern and competitive Ontario.

Real Estate Services provides comprehensive property management services for government owned and leased properties, offering end-to-end real estate accommodation options to client ministries to ensure safe and secure operations through asset management, capital planning, and project management solutions. It also provides strategic asset planning services to MOI to maximize the value of government assets through portfolio planning and rationalization. IO currently oversees the management of the Greater Real Estate Portfolio (GREP) comprised of more than 42 million rentable square feet of space on behalf of the Province.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide strategic real estate advice and expertise to stakeholders and client ministries to ensure optimal utilization of provincial lands and buildings in support of government objectives .
  • Developing strong and trusted client relationships to an assigned portfolio of government ministries and agencies.
  • Develop, evaluate, recommend and present real estate solutions to client ministries in response to changing government program priorities. Ensure financial analysis of options in alignment with government policy and mandates.
  • Develop, recommend and present complex real estate portfolio opportunities and solutions for effective program delivery and manage and lead space utilization , feasibility and alternate usage studies.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in strategic asset management, real estate consulting or corporate real estate.
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Real Estate, Planning, Business, Economics or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of real estate trends and financial analysis such as: present value, cost benefit, cash flow and payback methodologies.
  • We are looking for individuals with excellent customer service, consulting, business case writing and presentation skills to develop and maintain enduring and trusted relationships with client ministries; strong issues analysis, management and conflict resolutions skills to provide support to senior management to achieve corporate objectives; analytical synthesis skills to understand complex issues and the ability to develop long-term strategies.

The hiring range for this position is$82,800 - $124,100with a corresponding job level ofP4.The exact compensation will align based on the skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
