Established principally in Ontario, Canada, St. Marys CBM is the building materials division of St. Marys Cement. CBM is a leading employer, producer, and supplier of Ready-Mix Concrete and related products.

CBM has more than 450 Ready-Mix trucks operating out of 40 plants. The plants are in areas from Hull, Quebec (serving the National Capital region) in the east, 475 miles to Windsor in the west with emphasis on the most heavily populated areas of the province.

The Belleville Ready-Mix Plant Manager will manage and provide leadership for the Belleville plant, guiding the safe and efficient use of labour and equipment. This position works in congruence with operations management to meet the needs and targets of the plant.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Supervises and manages a unionized hourly workforce and maintains a high level of employee morale at the plant.
2. Supports the labour relations process through the application of the collective bargaining agreement & Code of conduct.
3. Manages and coordinates production, storage, and general distribution in accordance with policies and procedures as established by the Operations Manager.
4. Manages customer and internal relationships (sales, QC etc.).
5. Plans, organizes, and batches concrete loads/deliveries.
6. Implements, trains, administers, and complies with Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality System policies and procedures.
7. Performs concrete testing as per CSA & ASTM standards.
8. Completes paperwork and reporting as needed.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:

1. At least two years post-secondary education (college or university).
2. Previous supervisory and/or management experience.
3. Previous ready-mix or similar industry experience is an asset.
4. Excellent people management, problem solving, decision-making and communication skills.
5. Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel).
