Job summary

Coppersmith Recruitment is seeking Night Cleaning Operatives for a major new contract. The role offers a stable, full-time position with a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern and 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Training provided on equipment and safe chemical handling.

You will be part of a facilities management team ensuring cleanliness, safety and hygiene across the site. Ideal candidates will have warehouse or commercial cleaning experience, good English, and be able to start on September

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Willing to start on September 21st.
• Passport and photo ID for right-to-work verification.
• Must provide own composite safety boots.
• Willing to consent to a Basic DBS check.
• Strong English language for health and safety purposes.
• Physically able to walk and work a 12-hour night shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene across the facility.
• Full training on equipment and safe chemical handling provided.
• General cleaning: sweeping, vacuuming and sanitizing floors, offices, canteens and washrooms.
• Waste management: break down cardboard, change bins, remove waste.
• Rapid response to ad-hoc cleaning requests and client call-outs.
• Care for cleaning equipment and machinery to keep in safe working order.
• Strictly comply with site health, safety and hygiene policies.

The Shift Pattern

• Hours: 12-Hour Shifts
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Your Responsibilities

• You will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene across the facility. Full training on equipment and safe chemical handling will be provided.
• General Cleaning: Sweeping, vacuuming, and sanitizing warehouse floors, office areas, canteens, and washrooms.
• Waste Management: Breaking down cardboard, changing bins, and safely removing facility waste.
• Rapid Response: Reacting promptly to ad-hoc cleaning requests and call-outs from the client.
• Equipment Care: Ensuring all provided cleaning equipment and machinery are kept clean, well-maintained, and in safe working order.
• Health & Safety: Strictly complying with all site health, safety, and hygiene policies.

To be considered for this role

• Start Date: You must be ready and willing to start work on September 21st
• Identification: A valid Passport is strictly required for right-to-work and photo ID verification.
• Footwear: You must provide your own composite safety boots
• Background Check: You must be willing to consent to a Basic DBS (criminal record) check, which we will facilitate.
• Communication: A strong understanding of the English Language is essential for health and safety purposes.
• Physical Fitness: Comfortable walking around a large warehouse environment for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
• Warehouse or commercial cleaning experience is highly preferred, but not essential as full training is provided for the right candidates.
