Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Service Performance and Quality Officer to join the new Children and Young People’s Gender Service (East of England). You will provide specialist administrative, analytical and governance support to deliver high-quality, safe care.

Cambridge University Hospital Foundation Trust (CUH) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join the new NHS Children and Young People's Gender Service (East of England) in the role of Service Performance and Quality Officer.

The Cass Review into gender services for children and young people has recommended that staff should maintain a broad clinical perspective by working across related NHS services to embed the care of children and young people with gender-related distress within a broader child and adolescent health context.

The service operates Monday-Friday.

The post holder will support the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective care within the Children and Young People’s Gender Service by providing specialist administrative, analytical, and governance support.

Working under supervision, the role will focus on:

  • Accurate data collection, validation and reporting
  • Support to quality improvement, audit and governance processes
  • Maintaining high standards of record keeping and data quality

The post holder will contribute to monitoring service performance against local and national quality standards, including national reporting requirements and internal governance frameworks.

All appointments with a start date on or after 1 October 2026 will be subject to a 12-week probationary period. This provides a structured and supportive period to help you settle into your role, with regular reviews and feedback.
