Job summary

Unimax is seeking a warehouse operator in Bedford, NS to safely operate a stand-up Reach forklift and manage tire and merchandise flow. The role is a temporary position with the potential for permanent placement, offering a starting hourly rate of $21.75 and a 40-hour workweek with possible overtime.

Responsibilities include inventory control, shipment preparation, and maintaining a safe, efficient warehouse environment within Distribution Stox and related divisions.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience driving a stand-up Raymond/Crown Reach Forklift, preferably in a narrow-aisle environment.
• Must not be afraid of heights as lifts go up to 30 feet.
• Able to lift heavy loads and work in a fast-paced tire warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a stand-up Reach forklift to lift, lower, and extend forks into high storage racks.
• Manage incoming and outgoing tires and merchandise.
• Store tires and merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
• Prepare shipments for different customers.
• Fill out documents for incoming tires and merchandise.
• Maintain inventory of tires and merchandise.
• Adjust product locations as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment in line with health and safety policies.
• Participate in general warehouse maintenance.
