Additional Payments : Essential Car User Allowance

  • Qualification - Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with HCPC
  • Medical Clearance - Pre-placement health assessment (PPHA)
  • Essential Car Documentation - Full valid driving license and own car for work; Essential Car User Allowance provided
  • DBS Clearance - Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required
  • Evidence of conduct related to health, social care, children, or vulnerable adults
  • Proof of identity, employment history, and relevant experience

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide professional support, guidance, training, and act as an expert advisor in rehabilitation, equipment, adaptations, and moving and handling
  • Deliver therapy interventions to promote independence and quality of life
  • Manage a complex caseload with strengths-based assessments and person-centered approaches
  • Collaborate with residents and healthcare professionals for holistic assessment and planning

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Knowledge of functional assessment, moving and handling, equipment, adaptations, and assistive technology
  • Experience with diverse citizens, including those with mental health and learning difficulties
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
  • Adherence to HCPC and RCOT standards
