We seek a highly motivated Senior AI Engineer to join the Computational Sciences organization.
Role Overview:
- Design, optimize, evaluate, and deploy cutting-edge deep learning models (e.g., large language models, multi-modal transformers) and data pipelines.
- Optimize and scale model and data pipelines for performance and accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate novel ML methods into impactful applications for drug and target discovery.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field.
- Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience in deep learning, with projects or publications demonstrating expertise.
- Excellent Python and PyTorch skills.
- Experience with MLOps, model deployment (e.g., Triton, ONNX), and API-based AI systems.
- Experience with large-scale distributed training or multi-GPU/cloud infrastructure (e.g., Ray, DeepSpeed, TPU).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and agent-based systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work proactively from start to finish.
Additional Details:
- This is a hybrid role based in Mississauga, requiring onsite work twice a week.
- Duration: 12 months with possible extension.
- Salary: $65-$70/hourly.
- Preferred candidates have a solid background in AI/ML, with a master's degree from a reputable university.
