Overview

The RBC Analyst Program is dedicated to developing future leaders at RBC in one of our core product or functional areas. From day one, you will have the opportunity to acquire skills while supporting a key business unit at Canada's leading bank. You will be entrusted to solve complex problems and develop strategies that drive growth and profitability, working alongside leaders across the business. As part of the RBC Analyst Program, you will be onboarded with a cohort of like-minded new graduates, where you will receive valuable guidance through learning programs, coaching and mentorship from your peers, experienced program alumni, and senior leaders.

The program offers two streams; (1) Data Analytics or (2) General Management, which will support a core product or functional area in either the Personal Bank or Commercial Bank.

Data Analytics Stream
  • Scope, extract, and analyze data to deliver actionable insights that support the growth of our businesses.
  • Leverage cutting edge Business Intelligence technologies and data tools
  • Work through various parts of the data life cycle (i.e. Build data pipelines, feature engineering, data deep dives, machine learning model development, etc.)
  • Enhance communication and presentation skills through opportunities to present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
General Management Stream
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in an agile work environment to build outstanding products, services, and campaigns.
  • Leverage problem-solving and analytical skills using data to drive decision-making to enhance product performance.
  • Develop project management skills to execute deliverables across a complex matrix of stakeholders. Champion collaboration and inter-departmental knowledge sharing.
  • Enhance communication and presentation skills through opportunities to present product roadmaps, market research, and analyses to stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?
  • Undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance, Math, Economics, Engineering or other related fields with less than two years of full-time work experience
  • A growth mindset with the curiosity and capacity to learn quickly
  • Proven track record of leadership and excellence in academic and extracurricular activities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to influence key decisions
  • Ability to work and coordinate effectively within a team environment
  • Positive attitude with willingness to perform beyond what is being asked
  • Professional verbal, written, communication skills
  • Solid technical skills in data analytics methodologies / tools – through existing experience with statistical analysis and SQL or have demonstrated a keen interest to learn (preferred requirement for the Data Analytics stream)
