Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Canada is seeking a Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety (RAMS) Lead to shape the safety, performance, and reliability of rail systems. Key responsibilities include leading RAMS activities, developing strategies, and mentoring engineers. Ideal candidates have over 10 years of experience in rail transit environments and a relevant engineering degree. This role offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to impact transportation networks across Canada.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in RAMS/System Assurance within rail transit environments.
  • Deep knowledge of CENELEC, CMREA, MIL-STD and other system safety standards.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all RAMS activities across complex rail programs.
  • Develop and implement RAMS Plans, System Safety Plans, and risk assessments.
  • Mentor and develop engineers within the System Assurance discipline.

Skills

Technical leadership experience in RAMS/System Assurance
Knowledge of CENELEC and system safety standards
Lead teams and influence stakeholders
Experience with V-Model processes
Risk assessment and hazard analysis

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
