Job summary

Starlink Aviation in Canada is seeking a Ramp Agent to support ramp operations under the Ramp Supervisor, ensuring a safe, professional, courteous experience for passengers and flight crews.

You will greet and marshal aircraft, prepare planes for flight, assist with fueling and towing, load and unload cargo, and transport passengers and crew members. Shifts run 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with day or night coverage and weekends as required.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in French and English is required.
  • Must hold a Canadian work permit and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
  • Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP) Class D or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
  • Eligible to obtain a RAIC.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs / 23 kg and work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Greet passengers and flight crew in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Comply with ramp and hangar safety procedures at all times.
  • Prepare aircraft for flight and customer acceptance.
  • Marshal aircraft during arrivals and departures using standard hand signals.
  • Tow aircraft.
  • Refuel aircraft.
  • Load and unload aircraft.
  • Transport passengers and crew members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Ramp Supervisor, the incumbent serves as a Ramp Agent. They perform ramp agent duties while providing passengers and flight crew with a safe, professional, courteous, and respectful experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet passengers and flight crew in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.
  • Comply with all ramp and hangar safety procedures and regulations at all times.
  • Prepare aircraft for flight and customer acceptance.
  • Marshal aircraft during arrivals and departures using standard hand signals.
  • Tow aircraft.
  • Refuel aircraft.
  • Load and unload aircraft.
  • Transport passengers and crew members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
  • Shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., or on call according to operational requirements.
  • Day or night shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday.
Requirements
  • Must hold, at minimum, a valid Canadian work permit.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
  • Class 3 driver's licence is considered an asset.
  • Must hold an Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP) - Class D, or be willing to obtain it within the first three months of employment.
  • Eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  • Bilingual (spoken French and English).
  • Experience in the aviation industry is considered an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions (hot and cold).
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg).
