This is an interview position.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Coordinates all operations related to aircraft loading/unloading activities; provides leadership to cargo handlers and operational support staff. May perform duties of a courier, cargo handler, and/or dispatcher. Acts as a role model for hourly employees by demonstrating strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills through Best Practices methods.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months experience or training in jet aircraft ground support equipment and aircraft operations
• Proficiency in basic MS Word and Excel
• Knowledge of FAMIS, COSMOS, email, and FedEx intranet systems preferred
• Ability to prepare and process Canadian customs paperwork
• Ability to complete all basic training and maintain certifications through recurrency training (GSE permits, DG certification, W&B certification, etc.)
• Experience with EXCEL/LEAP preferred
• Understanding of FedEx products, services, and general operations; loading/unloading procedures preferred
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with equipment
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Excellent human relations, customer service, and communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Ability to pass R.C.M.P. assessment
