Job description

This is an interview position.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Coordinates all operations related to aircraft loading/unloading activities; provides leadership to cargo handlers and operational staff. May perform duties of a courier, cargo handler, and/or dispatcher. Acts as a role model for employees by demonstrating strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills through Best Practices methods.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) months experience/training in jet aircraft ground support equipment/aircraft operations
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of FAMIS, COSMOS, email, and FedEx intranet systems (preferred)
  • Ability to prepare and process Canadian customs paperwork
  • Ability to complete all required training and maintain certifications such as GSE permits, DG certification, W&B certification, etc.
  • Experience with EXCEL/LEAP (preferred)
  • Understanding of FedEx products, services, and general operations; loading/unloading procedures (preferred)
  • Physical ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Excellent human relations, customer service, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to pass R.C.M.P. assessment
