This position is full-time, permanent, and based in the office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Read, understand, and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Examine drawings for conformity and errors.
• Identify the suitability and availability of materials.
• Provide accurate quantity takeoffs and estimates for assigned jobs.
• Quantify scope of work from plans and site conditions.
• Review site, specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and contracts to ensure all aspects are quoted.
• Prepare and submit cost and budget proposals with necessary documentation.
• Maintain and track historical pricing information to ensure pricing consistency.
• Establish reliable labor templates for new opportunities.
• Participate in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Assist in the execution of existing projects as required within your area of expertise.
• Report activities to management as required.
• Research materials and costs, and secure contracts with suppliers as needed.
• Review and finalize proposals with directors or managers for client presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 3 years of direct experience in the construction field, particularly with rainscreen cladding, sheet metal, or exterior building envelope.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and administrative tasks.
• Graduation from an engineering, architectural, or construction management program is an asset.
• Experience with Procore, AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of local construction markets and building codes.
