Railtown Café & Catering is seeking a F/T First Cook

Position Info:

· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

· Wage: $34.62~$37.00/hour (depending on experience)

· Number of Positions: 2

· Benefits: Dental and Extended Health

Job Duties:

1. Prepare complete meals and individual dishes based on restaurant’s recipes
2. Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
3. Oversee kitchen operations
4. Monitor inventory levels, order food supplies and equipment as needed
5. Ensure that the kitchen and work areas are kept clean and sanitized
6. Plan menus, manage portions, and estimate food requirements and costs
7. May recruit and hire staff if necessary

Job Requirements:

1. Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
2. Education: Completion of secondary school is required
