Job summary

Transco Rail Services at Shell Scotford, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Railcar Helper for a full-time role on a 12-hour rotating schedule. You will assist with railcar repairs, including cutting and welding, and ensure documentation meets regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have a strong mechanical background, can read repair orders, and work well within a team in outdoor conditions. Full training and benefits are provided as part of a stable, growth-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background and safe use of hand tools and power equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend repair orders, MSDS, and written reports.
• Prior railcar repair experience or familiarity with AAR standards is an asset.
• Commitment to safety and quality as per company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar repairs (cutting/welding SMAW) on body components.
• Conduct air arc gouging and associated maintenance tasks.
• Prepare and maintain repair documentation to regulatory standards.
• Inspect hopper/tank railcars and their components and perform required servicing.
