Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused Operator/Helpers in Camrose, AB to support daily rail and transloading operations at an industrial facility. This is a full-time, outdoor, hands-on role critical to keeping railcars moving safely and efficiently.

Starting pay is CAD 28.87 per hour, with schedule that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays based on site needs. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a willingness to learn, with training provided for entry-level candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Dependable with reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow direction from leadership.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and ground throw switches, derails, and gates.
• Control movement of equipment using radio, hand signals, and lanterns.
• Couple and uncouple railcars; handle air hoses and wheel chocks.
• Apply and release hand brakes to secure or move equipment.
• Assist with transloading activities, including handling liquid products from tank cars.
• Monitor track and work areas for hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Follow all operating procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
