Job summary

Auto Logistics Providers Canada in Alliston, ON is hiring full-time Vehicle Loaders to load new vehicles onto trains for transport on Honda property. Shifts rotate with 6am or 9am starts, up to 12 hours, including weekends, and flexibility is required.

Responsibilities include driving vehicles onto rail cars, securing with chains or chocks, setting up bridge plates, operating ramps, checking for damage, and training new staff.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma is required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Able to drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles on rail cars and secure them for transport.
• Secure vehicles to rail cars with chains or chocks as required.
• Set up rail car bridge plates and raise/lower rail car decks.
• Open/Close rail car doors and operate loading ramps.
• Check vehicles for damage and drive to/from staging areas.
• Train new employees and adapt to changing needs.
• Adhere to safety standards and work as part of a team.
