Siemens Mobility is seeking a Rail Traffic Controller in Dorval, QC. You will ensure the safe movement of trains, plan movements, issue authorities, and coordinate meets across Canada and internationally. Fluency in French and English is required for effective communication and coordination with customers and Siemens colleagues.

The role involves shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, with a focus on safety, precision, and teamwork in a dynamic rail environment.

Qualifications

• Above-average computer skills including Microsoft 365 and specialized software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for radio communications.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Rail Traffic Controller certification under Canadian rules.
• Sound decision making in time-critical situations and ability to multitask.
• Experience in railway industry, air traffic control, dispatching, shift work or similar is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English required.

What will you need to succeed?

Railways operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This shift-based position requires availability for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.

• - Above-average computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft 365 environment and specialized software.
• - Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly for radio communications.
• - Ability to obtain and maintain certification as a Rail Traffic Controller under the Canadian Rail Operating Rules, including meeting medical requirements and completing drug and alcohol testing.
• - Ability to make sound decisions in a time-critical environment.
• - Ability to multitask while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• - Previous experience in the railway industry, air traffic control, dispatching, shift work, or a similar environment is considered an asset.
• - Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.

The successful candidate for this position must be fluent in French and English (oral and written) to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role.

• - The role requires regular interaction with Siemens colleagues based in Quebec, Ontario, nationally and internationally.
