Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a recent engineering graduate to join the Rail Infrastructure team. You will perform track alignment and geometric layout design, analyze ride quality, support trackwork, and contribute to drawings, estimates and specifications across railway projects.

You will work a hybrid schedule, attend the Vancouver office part time, and collaborate with geotech, structural and electrical engineers. French language skills are an asset; CAPM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate, Engineering degree, EGBC eligibility or membership.
• CAPM is an asset.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
• French language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform track alignment and geometric layout design for rail projects.
• Conduct ride quality analysis and optimization to improve performance.
• Support trackwork design, details, schematics and drawings.
• Complete quantity take-offs and contribute to cost estimating.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications and documentation.
• Analyze as-built survey data to support accuracy and validation.
• Provide design support during construction for project execution.
• Participate in bid efforts and project coordination.
• Attend the Vancouver office at least 2 days per week; some calls from BC in ET zones.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Engineer-in-Training designation or eligible
