Working closely with the project Reliability and Safety Specialists (RAMS) and the Safety and Systems Assurance Director, the Rail Security Expert will be responsible for establishing and implementing a security management program in the context of public transport and rail.

The Security Expert defines and proposes the means, resources, devices and systems aimed at protecting facilities and people.

They analyze the security risks (threats and vulnerabilities) related to the facilities, through their potential impacts on people, equipment and the environment of the site. They must determine appropriate control measures with the help of the designers.

This role will be based in Toronto, ON.

Your role within the team:

  • Provide security expertise for infrastructure elements, signalling and rolling stock within public and rail transport.
  • Ensure the management and planning of all activities related to the management of project security risks.
  • Establish and manage the project security plan and deliverables (security log, TVA, CPTED).
  • Organize security audits to confirm the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Participate in the project security committee, if applicable.
  • Identify opportunities for new projects and lead the development of bid elements in own area of expertise.
  • Manage client relationships and advise clients on recommended actions relating to active projects.
