Job summary

JobsMedia.io is seeking a mechanical engineer with 2–3 years of experience to join our hybrid team in Quebec. You will research mechanisms and systems, plan projects with estimates and specifications, and supervise technicians while reviewing designs and cost estimates.

You will also consult with suppliers and document deviations from specifications, contributing to reliable machinery performance. Solid knowledge in rail-related design is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Mechanical engineering background

Responsibilities

• Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
• Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
• Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
• Consult with suppliers
• Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
